Fruits and Vegetables of January

We finished a long year and started a new one. If we take measurements for our health and nutrition in the first month of the year and the most harsh month of the season, let's think that we will not get sick and we will protect our shape and include fruits and vegetables of winter in every meal. 

The vegetables of this month mostly appeals to the salads. Salads prepared for winter with fresh greens, lemons, vinegars and olive oils, replace the meals!

Chestnut

Our third suggesstion is actually a nut, rather than a fruit Its name usually makes us feel nostalgic but in winters, it is being sold at every corner and grows in trees with 4-5 meter lengths. Chestnut which is quite rich in Vitamins C and B, contains a lot of protein, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium. Chestnut, compared to other nuts, contains less oil and it helps digestion with its fibre contents.
